Mr Nelson Ho, BSc, MBA, F.PFM, FHKIoD, MHKIS, MRICS, MCMI, RPS(BS), BEAM Pro, Senior Manager, Facilities Management, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation
Mr. Nelson Ho is responsible for facility management of the Hong Kong Science Park and InnoCentre, and the environment and safety management of the above properties and the 3 Industrial Estates of Hong Kong.
Mr. Ho is an experienced Building Surveyor and Facility Manager, possessed over 23 years’ experience in Projects and Facilities Management. He served in various renowned developers, major consulting firms and public organisations in Hong Kong. Mr. Ho’s major professional/research interests are Facilities management, project management, sustainable technologies and policies, outsourcing management, maintenance, BIM- FM technology, conservation, rehabilitation and restoration of heritage buildings.

Life cycle cost is already a well known topic for maintenance and facility management practitioners. However, the journey to put the idea into practice is a challenging task both facing the initial cost budget rise as well as the reception of the industry. Mr. Ho will share his concept about total life cycle cost contract in facilities management and his experience in promoting and implementing total life cycle cost contracts in the maintenance and replacement projects which had saved his organization a considerable amount of money in the long run. |
