Details	:	The Buildings (Amendment) Bill 2010 introducing the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme (MWIS), after prolonged scrutiny by the Legislative Council, was passed on 29^th June 2011 as the Buildings (Amendment) Ordinance 2011. With the associated subsidiary legislations, such as the registration system of Registered Inspectors (RI), etc. being implemented, the two schemes will come into operation. Buildings Department has arranged a Briefing Session to explain these two schemes to interested building professionals.
