建築測量組於1985年成立時，建築測量師總數只有119人，至2011年12月，總人數已達949, 較早期增長了近7倍。於過去25年來，本組舉辦了不少會議、訪問活動及出版了不少刊物，推廣建築測量專業的服務和形象。以下是本組歷年的重要活動︰

04/1985	舉行首屆建築測量組理事會
06/1985	出版首份香港建築測量師通訊
06/1986	於置地廣場舉辦「何謂專業建築測量師?」展覽
01/1987	於沙田麗豪酒店舉辦首屆建築測量師會議「危機與生存」
02/1987	舉行首次建築測量組教育委員會會議
01/1988	於希爾頓酒店舉辦第二屆建築測量師會議「樓宇健康」
11/1988	首次出版「香港合資格建築測量師人力資源調查」
01/1989	於怡東酒店舉辦第三屆建築測量師會議「樓宇監控︰展望將來」
01/1990	於維多利亞酒店舉辦第四屆建築測量師會議「維修管理」
01/1991	於康蘭酒店舉辦第五屆建築測量師會議「樓宇安全
06/1991	首次公佈「建築測量服務收費標準」
01/1992	於萬豪酒店舉辦第六屆建築測量師會議「有效率的樓宇」
03/1993	於港麗酒店舉辦第七屆建築測量師會議「前景與使命︰建築測量師的角色轉變」
03/1994	於美國會所舉辦首次周末午餐會
04/1994	於黃金海岸酒店舉辦第八屆建築測量師會議「無瑕疵的樓宇-建築周期質素保證」
09/1995	於香港城市大學舉辦第九屆建築測量師會議「國內物業發展」
11/1996	於香港會議及展覽中心與世界建築監督組織(WOBO)合辦第十屆建築測量師會議「在十字路口建設環境」
04/1997	成立建築安全關注組及委任「樓宇醫生」監察與樓宇災難有關的社會問題
11/1997	舉辦第十一屆建築測量師會議「更新建築測量技術-邁向更佳的建築環境」
02/1998	出版「新建樓宇測量服務小冊子」
10/1998	於鷹君頓酒店舉辦第十二屆建築測量師會議「樓宇內的安全與健康危機」
11/1998	首次頒發傑出建築測量師名銜予八名資深會員︰Raymond A Bates、 Michael R Mann、鄭偉文、林浚、鍾鴻鈞、劉智強、李頌熹及黃比。
10/1999	於萬豪酒店舉辦第十三屆建築測量師會議「21世紀建築設施管理」
11/1999	首次出版由專家審閱的「建築測量學報」
10/2000	舉辦第十四屆建築測量師會議「與現代科技同步並進」
11/2000	第二次頒發傑出建築測量師名銜予五名資深會員︰張國豪、李樹成、陳佐堅、陳華偉及黃山。
10/2001	於萬豪酒店舉辦第十五屆建築測量師會議「應付社會文化之改變-挑戰與機會」
10/2002	16^th Building Surveyors Conference 2002 "Revitalization of Built Environment" held at JW Marriott Hotel
11/2002	3^rd nomination of Distinguished Building Surveyors to 4 fellow members: Raymond Y M Chan, David Connell, Jeffrey R Dobbing, Mike C W Wong.
06/2003	First publication of two booklets "適時維修, 安枕無憂" and "保障家居的衛生, 認識排水更安心" after SARS
10/2003	17^th Building Surveyors Conference 2003 "Servicing our Buildings to Serve" held at Conrad Hotel
02/2004	First publication of "'Building Dilapidation and Rejuvenation in Hong Kong" together with City University of Hong Kong Press
10/2004	18^th Building Surveyors Conference 2004 "Commercial Premises: Participation and Contribution of Building Professionals" held at JW Marriott Hotel
03/2005	Commence negotiation with China Association of Engineering Consultants (CAEC) for mutual recognition
10/2005	19^th Building Surveyors Conference 2005 "Anatomy of Licensed Premises and Professional Practice" held at Harbour Plaza Hotel
11/2005	Responded to the Consultation Paper on Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) and proposed Building Affair Tribunal framework to the Government.
06/2006	Signing Ceremony for Mutual Recognition Agreement with the China Association of Engineering Consultant was held in Beijing
09/2006	20^th Building Surveyors Conference 2006 "20 Years in Retrospect: The Prospects" at Four Seasons Hotel
03/2007	First publication of "Practice Guidelines for the Survey of Residential Property"
09/2007	21^st Building Surveyors Conference 2007 "Future Development in Hong Kong - Foresight, Innovation & Sustainability" held at Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks
10/2007	First publication of "準業主收樓指南"
11/2007	4^th nomination of Distinguished Building Surveyors to fellow member: Wai M W Chan
04/2008	1^st Planned Maintenance Conference was held at Mongkok Community Hall with the launching educational video: "物業保值有何良策, 樓宇維修及早計劃"
