Lump sum fixed price contract is a simple and the most popular construction contract used in Hong Kong or even the rest of the world.  On the contrary, cost reimbursement contract might be used with great hesitation and reservation by the employers and the consultant quantity surveyors.  What actually it is? How to implement any possible cost control over different stages of the project period?

Let us discuss the characteristics of and share the experience in handling this type of cost reimbursement contract and with the highlight on different combination types of the employers and the contractors.
