District Cooling System (DCS) is a large scale centralized air-conditioning system which provides chilled water to user buildings for air-conditioning purpose. Chilled water is produced at central DCS plants and then distributed to user buildings via water piping network.
To further promote energy efficiency and conservation, the Government is implementing a district cooling system at the Kai Tak Development. The KTDCS is the first project of its kind being implemented by the Government in Hong Kong.
This technical visit will lead you to the North Plant of the KTDCS and its E&M installations which include chillers, pumps and other DCS equipment
