Stephen qualified as a building surveyor in 1987 and worked in the Buildings Department (BD) for 32 years before his retirement leave in early 2016. He is now working in Kai Fu Property Services Co. Ltd. as a maintenance surveyor and is engaged in the consultancy services for fire safety improvement study in public rental housing (PRH) estates.
In this seminar, Stephen will generally go through the background, the objectives and the requirements under the Fire Safety (Commercial Premise) Ordinance Cap. 502 and the Fire Safety (Buildings) Ordinance Cap. 572 so as to give an overview of the ordinances.
In particular, the speakers will share his experience in the compliance of the Fire Directions issued by the BD and the common difficulties encountered in the fire safety improvement submissions. There will be a Q&A session thereafter.
