Chairman's Message (October 2008)
The Building Surveying Divisional Council and the Divisional Education Committee have been trying to alert candidates who had not been diligently pursuing their APC according to the transitional arrangement stipulated in the Rules and Guide (March 2007 edition), while on the other hand, many candidates have taken advantage of the concession and have had their Critical Analysis and Final Assessment assessed and have passed.

BSD Annual Dinner 2008
(2008.10.21) The BSD Annual Dinner will be held immediately after the AGM on 28 November 2008 at the World Trade Centre Club. It is our pleasure to have invited the recently appointed Director of Buildings, Mr AU Choi Kai, JP as our guest of honour. Mr Au is also a senior BS member of HKIS. As Director of Buildings, he will share with us his vision and missions for the coming years. All members are invited to join in the Annual Dinner to share with us his wonderful achievement.

(2008.10.16) The AGM of the Building Surveying Division will be held on 28 November 2008 at the World Trade Centre Club. The notice and agenda for meeting has been posted to BS members. All members are cordially invited to attend.

Recruitment of Interviewers for Assessment of Mutual Recognition with CAEC
(2007.04.13) Interviewers are wanted to conduct the interview with candidates from mainland in early July 2007. Interested party who satisfies with the following requirements please contact Mr. Robin Leung through email robinleung@hkis.org.hk for details:-

1. He/She should be HKIS Corporate Member in Building Surveying Division of not less than 10 years since election;
2. He/She should have served the HKIS General Council or the BSD Divisional Council; and
3. He/She should be the HKIS BSD APC Assessor and able to attend not less than 50% of the interview sessions held from 14/7 to 16/7 (Sat. to Mon.)
