CPD Mr. Jesse Wong : Contractors build rates and prices

Thanks to Mr. Jesse Wong, for delivering the CPD talk for QSD on 26th April, the topic was ¡®Contractors build rates and prices¡¯. Mr. Jesse Wong started his career in construction industry since 1982 and he is now the Assistant Director of the Wan Chung Construction Co. Ltd. The talk was successful with more than 180members attended and they raised many questions during the Questions and Answers section. During the talk, Jesse shared how to build up rates / costs from the view of contractor, including the preliminary costs. He then elaborated the factors to be considered when pricing and the pricing strategy. He detailed the construction knowledge required for adequate pricing and then explained the indirect factors affecting the pricing. By the end, Jesse stressed the issues that have to be considered and suggested we have to make reference to other professional predictions. Mr. Sunny Chan, the Honorary Treasurer of QSD, presented a souvenir to the speaker at the end of the seminar.
