In January, MY Wan shared with the young surveyors of the Lands Department on how, with his training as a general practice surveyor, he later assumes the functions of a project manager. The talk traces the various cases/projects he executed or brought about before and after the transformation, over a 40 year span. Whilst giving the talk in January, he thought he could enhance the delivery of the message by slightly rearranging the sequence and enriching the illustrations. Cases illustrated are many, varied and include the resumption of land for the Aberdeen Tunnel, and the development of IFC. He hopes young surveyors will be encouraged to broaden their scope.
