Details :

Hand shield tunnelling is one of the trenchless methods for sewer, water, gas, oil and telecommunication pipeline installations underneath rivers, roads, railway tracks, building and other obstacles. It overcomes the traditional limits of open trench excavation and brings the public inconvenience down to minimal.

In the seminar, Sr Mo will share his experience on hand shield tunnelling survey. The construction procedures, sequence of the tunnelling survey methods, feasibility studies of the proposed design, and independent check for the quality assurance of survey results will be introduced.

At last, Sr Mo will highlight the essential competences for a land surveyor to manage some possible surveying issues throughout the construction process. His experience on the role of a land surveyor and his/her survey team in the whole construction circle will be discussed.
