講師	:	Sr Dr Calvin Keung is a quantity surveyor by profession and he is the BIM Coordinator of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. Sr Dr Keung is deeply involved in BIM teaching and research. He is the core academic staff teaching BIM for surveying students. Currently, Sr Dr Keung is the Honorary Secretary of bSHK and the External Examiner of the construction management programme offered by RMIT University in Melbourne.

詳情	:	BIM technology has dramatically transformed traditional practices within the industry throughout the project lifecycle. Because QS is one of the core project members, it is essential to recognise how BIM influences the profession of quantity surveying, the services it delivers and the sustainability of competent graduates. However, few studies have investigated the adoption level of BIM or diagnosed its deficiencies to improve quantity surveying practices in HK. This research study was funded by the QSD of HKIS in 2018. Unlike other BIM studies that focused upon a foreign country or a mixture of countries, this study is the first-ever BIM study in quantity surveying in HK, so the results truly reflect the current HK situation of QSs' BIM adoption in client organisations, consultant firms and contractor companies. The research scope is also extended to include the BIM curricula of the local educational institutions and matching them with the current QS practices in BIM adoption. Sr Dr Keung is the principal investigator of the research project.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
