講師 : Ms. Monika Lau

Monika Lau started her engagement in the design and construction industry since 2011 and currently she is the Regional Information Manager in Aurecon Group to lead the information management in Asia region, support in the application of the digital delivery process and facilitate the transformation of engineers to digitalization.
She has experience in leading a team of BIMers and System developers of Information Management platform. She understands the local practise and problems in the traditional industry from working at design consultancy firms and main contractor company in 9 years while maintaining close relationship with various developers, consultants and contractors by leading BIM implementation and information management strategy. Monika’s passion and strong interpersonal skills make her a big advantage in bridging gaps between traditional practitioners and new waves. By taking up the role as Honorary Secretary in HKIBIM board 2019-2021, Monika aims to strengthen members engagement especially to facilitate the sharing and communication between industry experts and young forces, bringing up new solutions and execution plans to industry stakeholders.

Mr. Froky Wong

Froky Wong is a Board Member of HKIBIM (2019-2021) and a Manager, BIM in Hong Kong Airport Authority. He has obtained a Master Degree in Intelligent Building Technology and Management and 13 years work experience on BIM implementation, development and management in AECO projects, i.e. Design Projects and Construction Projects in Hong Kong, Shanghai, South Korea, Australia, UAE and Qatar. Froky has extensive experience in BIM with demonstrated history of working in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Owner-operated (AECO) projects. His expertise in Virtual Design and Construction, i.e. Building Information Modelling (BIM), Value Engineering, Digital Engineering, and Integrated Project Delivery ensure practical project implementation knowledge can be shared. As a passionate BIM Practitioner, he is interested in AECO related Digital Engineering Technologies, i.e. BIM, DfMA, MiC, FM, AM and Digital Twin.
He understands the new generation is an opportunity to reshape the foundation of the industry. He has a mission to raise the awareness of BIM to the general public and encourage communication between industry experts and young forces. He believes such channel for knowledge exchange and experience sharing would promote BIM development in the industry effectively.

Monika and Froky are leading the taskforce of Education Committee - Promotion to the Youth in the HKIBIM Board 2019-2021. It aims to promote the latest BIM development in the industry, understanding the needs and requirements of BIMers in different market levels by attending public working groups of BIM developments to express views and demands from BIM practitioners, enhance the maturity of BIM practise in the industry and shape the bright future of our Young BIMers BIM journey.

In the sharing, they will share insights from surveys regarding the Career Prospects in BIM and how BIM is moving forward to Information Management as an ultimate goal of the professional development.
