詳情 :

In 2017, Lands Department published a list of 800+ idle sites as Short Term Tenancy (STT) for community, institutional, or non-profit making purposes, in which community members are encouraged to take up government land for temporary uses up to 7 years. However, while locals are experts of community network and programme curation, most lack the know-how to go through a lengthy formal application procedure, win land use approvals, and secure the required permits and licenses. In view of the rising need to enhance ways which community-driven initiatives are delivered, CollaborateHK – Hong Kong’s first-ever not-for-profit advisory and collaboration platform in this field, has been assisting community groups to overcome challenges they may face in delivering vacant land activation projects since 2018.

  1. Challenges faced by community members in vacant site activation projects
  2. Case studies of community projects
  3. Opportunities offered by DevB funding scheme for infrastructural upgrades and consultancy appointment
  4. Ways to engage surveyors and other built-environment professionals to realize socially beneficial community initiatives for a more liveable city.
