Heinz Meier, Corp. Product Engineer Solar Roofs / Roofing Sustainability, Sika Services AG
Heinz is active in the Construction business since more than 30 years. He worked as a Research Engineer at the EMPA (Swiss Federal Materials and Testing Lab) in the field of Structural Strengthening with CFRP materials and developed the first large CFRP Cables for a cable stayed bridge. He was a long-term member of the CEN TC104 standardization committee “Structural Strengthening”.

Since 1998 with Sika, he introduced the CFRP technologies to the market and they are now State of the Art on a global scale. Heinz then moved position internally and was active in the Concrete business, developing special devices for cement and concrete handling for a few years. In 2009 he changed to the Target Market “Roofing” and developed a dedicated Photovoltaic (PV) mounting system for single-ply membrane covered flat roofs. It was designed as a penetration free system, perfectly matching to the companies’ PVC and FPO membranes. He is responsible for the Sustainability related topics and activities in the Corporate organization and was active in the Swiss SIA 279 standardization committee “Thermal Insulation”.
Heinz is involved in the support of Sika’s Sales Organizations when it comes to Sustainability and PV related aspects in the Roofing business.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
