Chemical Tempering in Architectural Application Chemical tempering introduction Physical tempering vs chemical tempering Architectural application case study Speaker Keith has more than 20 years of experience in float and architectural glass business. Prior to joining South Star, he was Regional Sales Director of Guardian Industries, the world’s leading architectural coated glass manufacturer. Landmark Projects involved: Abu Dhabi International Airport, Saudi Arabia Jeddah Tower, London One Blackfriars Luxury Apartment Tower, Hong Kong Xiqu Centre, Hong Kong M+ Museum 2. Trosifol® & SentryGlas® Innovations in Sustainability and Bird-Friendly Solutions Speaker Christoph joined Pilkington in 2001 where he had different jobs in Technical Advisory Service (TAS) and marketing. In 2014, he left Pilkington as Head of European TAS and Innovation management. He then joined Kuraray as Head of Marketing and Business Development. 3. Quality in Tempered Glass The presentation is focusing on Distortion and Anisotropy in tempered glass. What are the root causes and what kind of tools does a tempering line operator have at hand to affect end product quality. Speaker Riku has been working at Glaston in different product management related tasks for the past 7 years. He has been extensively involved in new product development, as well as customer projects for both tempering, laminating and quality measurement related projects.
備註	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Upon successful payment of the registration fee, the ZOOM link for joining the CPD event will be available in the CPD/PQSL profile under the "Member Area" of the HKIS website. On-line registration is not applicable for non-HKIS members. To register, please complete the CPD registration form and return with payment to the HKIS Secretariat. Please install the Zoom Application in advance at https://www.zoom.us/download. For Mobile phones, iPads & Android, install the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app from App Store or Play Store. For PC and Mac, download and install the Zoom Client for Meetings.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
