The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) has been authorised by the Labour Department to issue the relevant certificate for the construction industry under section 6BA(4) of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, Cap. 59, which will satisfy the safety training requirement under section 6BA(4) of the Ordinance.

Effective from 1 December 2016, the HKIS will no longer issue a separate Green Card (new or renewal). The Green Card has been combined with the Membership Card and will be issued to eligible Corporate Members annually upon their renewal of membership.
