Visit to Qianhai Cooperation Zone (前海深港現代服務業合作區), Shenzhen, Mainland
A visit to Qianhai Coorperation Zone was organized on 13 October 2011 by HKIS. The visit enabled us to understand the detailed design of the project and its latest development. We took the opportunity to explore the chance for land surveyor’s participation in the Mainland. According to the work schedule given by the Authority, the reclamation phase
will be completed in 2012 and the major infrastructures of the area will be built in different stages.
Land Surveying Division Annual Dinner 2011
The LSD Annual Dinner 2011 was held at Pearl Ball Room of Eaton Hotel Hong Kong on 14 October 2011.
It was our important occasion to meet friends in the industry, the academic institutes as well as in the Institute Officer bearers and divisional chairmen and a number guests
attended the Annual Dinner.
I would like to thank the Hon Patrick Lau to join the party as our honorable guest. We were also delighted to have Mr. Wong Chung-hang, Deput Director of Survey and Mapping of Lands Department of Government of HKSAR, Professor Ding Xiaoli of Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Mr Gao Chun-bo of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR as our guests at the head table.
I would also like to thank the dedicated effort from the Organizing Committee in making the dinner a success and the enjoyable evening.
