On 11 June 2014, Sr Dr Tony Leung represented the PDD on an HKIS trip to the China Banking Regulatory Commission in Shanghai with a view to exploring collaborative opportunities with Mainland asset managers. The feedback from the Commission was encouraging.

From 12 -15, June, Sr Dr Tony Leung joined the Hong Kong Professionals’ Technical Visit to Hongqiao Transportation Hub; Shanghai Hong Kong Airport Management Co., Ltd.; COMAC; Yangshan Harbour; China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration; and Shanghai Centre.

On 18 June, the PDD organised a Surveyors Luncheon, one of the HKIS’s 30th anniversary events, on the 38/F at the World Trade Centre Club. The Honourary Guest Speaker was Mr KK Ling JP, Director of Planning, and the topic of discussion was “Potential Strategic Growth Areas of Hong Kong – New Territories North and East Lantau”. Over 60 members attended.

On 16 July, the PDD will organise a CPD from 7-8:30 PM in the Surveyors Learning Centre, 12/F, Wing On Centre. The guest speaker will be Professor Anthony G.O. Yeh, Academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Academy of Social Sciences, and Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the University of Hong Kong. The topic of discussion will be “Mega-City Region Planning of the Pearl River Delta under the Changing Relationship between Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta”.
