On 12 September 2014, we organised a networking drinks session with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators’ (CIArb) Young Members Group (YMG), the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Hong Kong Branch’s Young Engineers Network (YEN), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Hong Kong Association’s Graduate and Student Committee (G&S), and the Law Society of Hong Kong’s (LSHK) Young Solicitors’ Group (YSG). Over 140 young professionals were in attendance. The party provided a relaxing environment for young professionals from a diverse range of occupations to meet and share their work and life experiences.

The CPD on Paints – The System, Applications, and Defects - was held on 22 September 2014 with over 100 members participating. The representative from Akzo Nobel Swire Paints Limited (ICI Dulux) presented different aspects of the paint system, including its selection and remedies of defects, which members, especially project managers and maintenance surveyors, found useful.

The HKIS 30th Anniversary Basketball Cup Final was held on 14 September. RLB won the cup after beating 籃人30. The 2nd running-up and 3rd running-up is Basketeer and ES-Guys. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all participating members for joining the competition and I hope to see you next year.
