Details	:	Content GBP submission involves large amount of calculations, schedules and diagrams to demonstrate compliance with the requirements under the Buildings Ordinance (BO) and allied regulations. Digital transformation of the GBP preparation and checking processes enables standardizing the interpretation under BO and creation of automation which could greatly save the manual effort in handling and verifying the accuracy of the information or data involved and in turn enhance the efficiency, quality and certainty of the submission. To support the industry, the Buildings Department (BD) has developed the GBP Calculators* for automated calculation of gross floor area and site coverage. The standard schedules produced by the tool could be readily imported and updated in the calculation sheets prepared by AutoCAD for submission to BD. In this workshop, the representatives from BD will brief you on the key features of the tool and demonstrate how the automated functions could make the complicated calculation process easy, dispensing with going through a mountain of detailed requirements in regulations/practice notes. They will also share the latest development on the BIM automated area checking tool tasked to be released in Q1 2024. Member with job duties involving GBP submission to BD should not miss this opportunity to equip yourself with better knowledge on BD's regulatory logic. *The GBP Calculators and the sample AutoCAD drawings are available in BD Website https://www.bd.gov.hk/en/resources/corner-for-rbp-rc/index.html for free download and use. Attendees are encouraged to download the tool and sample for trial before the workshop.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
