Speaker	:	Sr Harry Chan, FHKIS, MRICS, MCIREA, RPS(GP) Harry is the founder and managing director of PSA (HK) Surveyors Limited（國眾聯（香港）測量師行有限公司）, who leads the firm to develop the best practice in providing professional valuation and consulting services in the Greater China Region. PSA is a member of GuoZhongLian Group ("GZL Group") and VPC Asia Pacific Group. GZL Group（國眾聯集團）is a leading multi-discipline professional services group in China providing asset appraisal, quantity surveying, construction consultancy, insurance loss adjustment and accounting services. GZL Group has a vast office network in 40 cities in mainland China and with office in Hong Kong being its international arm. GZL Group services clients across Greater China Region as well as oversea countries. Harry is a Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice), a Chartered General Practice Surveyor and a member of China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents with 30 years of experience in valuation advisory and investment consulting. His expertise includes asset valuation, land matter advisory, development consultancy, feasibility study and investment analysis. He has extensive experience in providing valuation and due diligence services for HK IPO listing and M&A projects. His market knowledge extends geographically to Asian markets such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Mongolia. Before founding PSA, Harry was an Executive Director of CBRE Limited in charge of Valuation & Advisory Services Department in Greater China Region. He has advised numerous large real estate deals in Hong Kong and mainland China for developers, real estate funds, institutional investors, multinational corporations and Chinese enterprises.

Details	:	Under “One Country Two Systems”, the legal system, land laws and land title system are different between Hong Kong and mainland China. In valuation field, although valuation theories are similar, some principles and professional practice vary among different places in Greater China region. In this CPD, Harry will discuss the variation of valuation principles and practice in the valuation industries between mainland China and Hong Kong. He will share his experience in dealing with some valuation issues due to different practices. Members having attending this talk could have a better understanding on doing valuation of properties in Greater China and due diligence works.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
