PDD held its Annual Conference at 9am to 1pm on 18th October, 2014 in the Surveyors Learning Centre and more than 80 participants attended. The theme of the said Conference was “Review of Strategies for Planning of Development Space and Renewal”. Since Hong Kong has been facing steady growth in population resulting in housing shortage due to limited development space in the past decades and which is likely to continue in the years ahead, the purpose of the said Conference was to review past efforts and brainstorm strategies for new development space. Our distinguished speakers were Mr. K K Ling JP, Director of Planning; Mr. K L Wong, CEO and Executive Director of Hong Kong Housing Society; Sr Victor So JP, Chairman of Urban Renewal Authority; and Sr P C Lau SBS, Chairman of Hong Kong Coalition of Professional Services. Their talks were very enlightening. All participants learned a lot from the insight of speakers. During the said Conference, there was very good interaction between the speakers and the participants.
PDD representatives will join the CEPA visits to Beijing from 2nd to 5th November, 2014 and we will have a separate meeting with the China National Association of Engineering Consultants on 31st October, 2014 to further discuss the future co-operation with our Division.
PDD will organise its Annual Dinner on 13th November, 2014 (Thursday) from 6:30 to 10:00 pm in World Trade Centre Club, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. We are happy to invite PDD members, all HKIS members and their guests to attend.
规划及发展组周年会议已于 2014 年 10 月 18 日上午 9 时至下午 1 时在香港测量师学会测量师研习中心举行，超过 80 位人士参加。周年会议的主题为「发展空间与重建的规划策略检讨」。香港在过去数拾年及未来几拾年正面对人口稳定的增长、房屋短缺及有限的发展空间，所以今次的周年会议是要检讨过去所付出的努力及研究新的发展空间策略。尊贵的主讲嘉宾是规划署署长凌嘉勤先生，JP、香港房屋协会行政总裁兼执行总干事黄杰龙先生、市区重建局主席苏庆和测量师，JP 与及香港专业联盟主席刘炳章测量师，SBS。他们的演讲非常有启发性。所有出席人士从主讲嘉宾身上学到很多东西。在周年会议上，主讲嘉宾及出席人士之间都有良好的互动。
规划及发展组的代表，将参加 2014 年 11 月 2 日至 5 日有关 CEPA 的北京访问团。我们已定于 2014 年 10 月 31日，另外跟中国工程咨询协会会谈，讨论两会之间的未来合作。
规划及发展组周年晚宴将于 2014 年 11 月 13 日(星期四)晚上 6 时 30 分至 10 时在香港铜锣湾世贸中心 38 楼香港世界贸易中心会举行。欢迎所有规划及发展组会员、所有香港测量师学会会员及宾客出席。
