Assessment of Professional Competence
All the written papers were marked by the Assessors. Those probationers who received passing grades were invited to attend a professional interview (Part Two) with a Panel of three members. In order to expedite the process, all professional interviews were conducted in one day at the same venue. Similar to last year, the Council rented some classrooms at a secondary school in Causeway Bay to conduct the interviews on 19 January 2013. Seventy interviewers kindly offered their family time on a Saturday to meet with more than 80 probationers. My wholehearted appreciation goes to all the interviewers who spared their precious time to contribute their efforts to the Institute. The Part One interviews will be conducted later.

After the professional interviews (Parts One & Two), the Council will organize a Welcoming Party to congratulate the successful probationers for their achievement in becoming qualified members or associate members. Notices will be issued in due course.

Third Batch of the Assessment Exercise for CECA Qualification
Following the meeting with CECA in Beijing in late October 2012, the Council will conduct a survey to ascertain the number of members who are interested in participating in the third batch of the assessment exercise. The survey will be issued by the Institute sometime after the Chinese New Year.

The Chinese New Year is around the corner. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members a happy, healthy, and prosperous Year of the Snake. Kung Hei Fat Choy/Gong Xi Fa Cai.
