Our Division held its Annual Conference from 9 AM to 12:30 PM on 10 October in the Surveyors Learning Centre. Its theme was “Green Buildings and Environmental Planning Design”. This year, we were honoured to have The Hon KS Wong, JP, Secretary for the Environment, as our keynote speaker along with five other guest speakers. They were Ir Conrad Wong, BBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Green Building Council; Ir Victor Cheung, BBS, the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers; Sr Kenneth Chan, Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors; Mr Larry Poon, Wong Tung & Partners; and Ir Cary Chan, Swire Properties, Ltd. Since all speakers were experts on green buildings, participants were able to learn their insights and about the future of green building design.
